Viking Link
Checks on this page
Each feed is judged by the age of its newest data against its own timetable: “late” means the last check found nothing newer. Settlement period now: SP–.
Viking Link links Great Britain and Denmark between Bicker Fen substation, Lincolnshire and Revsing substation, southern Jutland, 765 km of HVDC, in service since 2023. The figure below is the flow this half hour from Elexon’s interconnector outturn; the capacity the register’s.

Two figures, two questions. Viking Link’s headline rating is 1,400 MW; its grid connection right, which is what the percentages on this page are measured against, is 1,500 MW each way. A rating describes the cable, a TEC is the capacity registered for its connection to the GB system, and they are not obliged to match. The figure in this page’s search description is the registered one.
The world's longest land and subsea interconnector. Ofgem's post-construction review dates the start of commercial operations to 29 December 2023. It opened at a reduced 800 MW while Danish onshore reinforcement completed; NESO's NETS Status Report has listed it at the full 1,400 MW and fully available throughout 2026, so the opening restriction is history rather than a live cap.
